Learn Blackjack

Here is the most popular game in all of the best casinos all over the world - none other than blackjack, voted the best in Las Vegas! This is not a difficult game, you just need to get as closer to 21 than the dealer without going over. Going over 21 is referred to as "busting" and results in an instant loss for the player. Remember that your hand competes with the dealer's hand. You first place a bet on the table and then the dealer gives two cards (face up) to everyone sitting at the table including themselves. Then the dealer will show you one of their cards, it's called the dealer's up card.

If one of your cards is an A and the other a 10 or a picture card (Jack, Queen, or king) you've got blackjack and you win 3 to 2 automatically! If your two cards add up to 17, 18, 19, or 20 then they are considered good hands and you should "stand" to stay with the current hand total. If your cards add up to less then 17 then you're going to have to try and get closer to 21 without going over.

To see another card you have to "hit" and the dealer will deal you another card. A player may "hit" as many times as desired until they reach a total they are happy with or "bust" trying. Aces are valued as 1 or 11. 10 and face cards are valued as ten. 2-9 cards are totaled at value. If a player is dealt a matching pair of cards then they can also "split". This doubles the wager but also doubles the win! The dealer separates the two cards and two more cards are dealt and the player can hit as needed to get closer to 21.

If a player has only their initial 2 cards in a hand they are allowed to "double down". When a player double's down they double their original bet and can only receive one more card. Usually this is allowed with hands totaled 9-11.

When all the players are done playing their hand the dealer plays his hand last. The dealer has to follow the same fixed rules to play his hand. Most tables allow the dealer to draw cards until their card value totals at 17 or higher. When the dealer reaches 17 they are not allowed to draw more cards to improve their hand regardless of what the other players have. Just like the players the dealer can also bust if their hand value goes over 21 and then automatically all the players remaining that didn't bust, win their bets.

If the dealer did not bust, then the players who have the value closest to 21 win their bets and players who have a value lower than the dealer looses their bet. The players who have the same total as the dealer tie; which is referred to as "push" in blackjack. When a player pushes their bet is returned. That's about it folks, enjoy!
