Learn Roulette

In its simplest terms roulette is just a game of chance played with a little white ball on a big spinning wheel in the best casinos. It can be mastered by anyone, even you. The roulette wheel contains 37 even compartments which are numbered 0 to 36. The table hosts a number of players and in roulette each player gets different colored special roulette chips all are worth the same amount set by the casino's terms. That gives the players the ability to bet on the same numbers at the same time and it gives the roulette dealer a clue of who is betting on what.

You can place your roulette chips "straight up" on a number and if the roulette ball falls on that number you win 35 to 1. This means if you bet 1 dollar on the number 21, and the ball falls on that number you win 35 dollars.

You can split up your bet in numerous ways, and cover more numbers on the roulette table. An example of that would be placing your bet between the numbers 14 and 15 and if the ball lands on one of those numbers you win 17 to 1. So if you place a 1 dollar bet and split it on two numbers and the ball say lands on 15 then you win 17 dollars. While playing roulette, You can also cover 3, 4 and 6 numbers and each pay out in different odds.

In roulette you increase your chance of winning covering more numbers but you make your odds smaller. Remember that in roulette, the more number you cover the more action you have on the table.

The regular on-the-numbers bets are called inside bets. You can also place your bets on the roulette layout on what is called outside bets. Outside bets pay even money (pays 1 to 1). These roulette bets are high or low numbers. Low being 1-18 and high being 19-36. Another even money bet is even or odd numbers, kind of like black or red numbers. In roulette you can also bet on columns or sections and they pay 2 to 1. 3 sections and 3 columns are divided to 12 numbers each.

The ball is usually dropped before a roulette player can stop betting. Remember that while the ball is on the roll you don't have much time left. When the roulette dealer says no more bets, you have to stop placing any bets on the roulette layout. The roulette dealer will usually move is hand on the layout signaling no more bets. Most casinos that host roulette are very very strict about touching the roulette table after that sentence is said and roulette hand gesture is made.
